Week Two of the Kickstarter Campaign
Yep, we're already more than a week into the ThoughtScape Comics #1-4 Kickstarter campaign! Over the weekend, we broke $1200, with nearly 80 backers! That said, things have definitely slowed down since we kicked this deal off last week, and if you are thinking about backing this time around, now would be a great time to do so and help us build a little momentum. Every backer and dollar counts, and if you're able, even a $1 and $2 pledge makes a huge difference: the more we can earn over our goal the more we can make this new issue as kick-ass as possible and cover any dropped/unprocessed pledges at the end of the campaign.
Did I mention, the new issue, #4, is available in PDF for just $5!
Lifeformed!
We've still got some of our ThoughtScape + Lifeformed Mega-Pack rewards available as part of the campaign if you decide to join the ranks of our 80+ backers. This reward will get you ThoughtScape #1-#3 print editions and TSC #4 digital plus two 200-page soft cover graphic novels: LIFEFORMED: CLEO MAKES CONTACT and LIFEFORMED: HEARTS AND MINDS. These critically-acclaimed YA sci-fi books are written by me, feature art from the amazing Cassie Anderson, and were published by Dark Horse Comics! Get a taste of what's in store for you in these books via Party Crasher, a short promo story Cassie and I put together a few years back ahead of the release of Hearts and Minds (in high res PDF). Wow, do I miss these characters and hope I get to return to them someday.
What's new at ThoughtScape HQ
I'm working on an X-Men fan comic with Jeremy Brooks on pencils + inks and Marcus Cripps on colors (the same team that produced the story Corpus Delicti in TSC #3). Over the last week we’ve dropped a look at a couple images from this story, which will feature Dazzler and Mojo among others. Check 'em out!
Jeremy is so great at capturing the expressions and emotions of the X crew with such economy, and Marcus just makes things sing (sorry) with his vibrant color work. Once again, can't wait for folks to read this thing.
Speaking of this amazing creative team, check out the TSC podcast for a chat between me and Jeremy, and click here for a brief interview with Marcus.
Thanks for your time, and have a great week!
Matt
